General facts:

EA originates from Warszawa, Poland. Besides "11'00", they have released two CD/CD-r albums to this day and a third one is scheduled for release on Ignis Projekt this year (it may even be out when you read this). 11'00 is released in a strictly limited edition consisting of 250 transparent vinyls. These come with handmade covers with fingerprints from the members themselves. In the best Drone Records tradition, 11'00 may very well become re-printed once the first edition is sold out but expect a less exclusive edition with printed covers and an edition of 300 copies.

Review:

What we have here is a 7" EP consisting of some very pure and serene sounding Drone/Ambient music of the organic school. I don't know if it is a coincidence that EA share their name with the ancient Mesopotamian goddes of water and wisdon but judging by the watery nature of the music presented here, It wouldn't surprise me if there's some connection beyond the name itself. The very emotional drones on these two tracks moves like underwater currents and the aquatic impression is strengthed by the fact that there are water samples to be heard on side A. I imagine viewing the world from the other side of the mirroring ocean while hearing this, it is extremly soothing and the music feels very refreshing in a pure sense.

The B side may not be as watery as the A side but the music still moves sort of like a current. Its most characteristic aspect is a quite serene, elevating dronesound which is being accompanied by various reverbed samples as well as a darker drone. The whole track represents an uninterrupted flow of beautiful ambience akin in emotion to the track on side A.

The music of EA sometimes reminds me slightly of Peter Andersson's (raison d'ĂȘtre) more organic project Necrophorus, especially on side A. I guess it's the water effects and the serene nature of the drones. Fans of Necrophorus Drifting in Motions may find themselves entertained by the music of EA.

11'00 is a very nice piece of serene Drone/Ambient music which I would not hesitate to recommend to fans of these genres.
